Co-parenting apps in the UK, compared
There are about six co-parenting apps a UK parent will realistically consider, and they differ most on two things: whether one subscription covers both parents, and whether the app was built for England and Wales or for the United States. This page compares them on both.
We make one of them. We've written this as though we didn't, which means saying where the others are better.

Which one, honestly #
If a court or a solicitor has already named an app, use that one. Usually OurFamilyWizard. Switching to prove a point is a bad use of everyone's time and it makes your records harder to follow.
If cost is the deciding factor, The Coparent App and 2houses are cheaper than us. The Coparent App in particular is a credible UK product with the same one-price-covers-both model.
If your co-parent won't install anything, Graham works through WhatsApp and SMS. That's a real advantage in a real situation, and no app that requires a download can match it.
If you're already in proceedings in the US, TalkingParents. It's built for that and we aren't.
If you're coming out of mediation in England or Wales, that's us — and it's the one case where we'd say we're clearly the right answer, because nothing else takes a parenting plan and turns it into a running calendar.
Why per-parent pricing matters more than the headline number #
It's the thing most comparisons skip and the thing that decides whether an app actually gets used.
When each parent pays separately, the more reluctant parent has to be persuaded to buy a tool they didn't choose, usually proposed by the person they're in conflict with. Many won't. A co-parenting app that only one parent uses isn't a co-parenting app — it's an expensive diary.
OurFamilyWizard and TalkingParents both price per parent. OurPath, The Coparent App and 2houses price per family. Graham sits in between: its solo plan covers one parent, its couple plan covers both for £179.
The UK question #
Four of these apps are American or European products that a UK parent can use, rather than products built for how family arrangements work here.
What that means in practice: no local-authority school term dates. No awareness that overnight counts drive Child Maintenance Service shared-care bands. No concept of a MIAM, a parenting plan handed over at the end of mediation, or a consent order. Content and help articles written about US custody law, which doesn't apply here.
OurFamilyWizard's .co.uk site is the clearest example: the same content as its US, Irish and Spanish sites, with British spelling and pound signs. It's a good American product with a British coat of paint.

What we'd say for OurPath #
Three specific things:
One subscription covers both of you at £129.99, against roughly £216 per household for OurFamilyWizard. The reluctant parent doesn't have to pay to take part.
The parenting plan runs the app. Your plan isn't a document we store — it configures your calendar, holiday rules and cost splits. Your mediator can set it up with both of you in the room at the end of a session. Nothing else does this.
Records are tamper-evident and independently verifiable. Append-only, hash-chained, with a public verifier any solicitor can use in under a minute without an account. Export is free on every plan, permanently, including after you cancel.
And the caveat we'd want you to weigh: we're new. OurFamilyWizard has two decades of court familiarity. If that matters more to you than everything above, that's a reasonable conclusion and we won't argue with it.
Questions #
Does my co-parent have to use the same app? For the shared features, yes — that's true of every app here. It's also the single biggest reason these apps fail, which is why the price model matters so much. More on what to do if they refuse →
Can I move my records from one app to another? You can export from most of them and store the PDFs elsewhere. What you can't do is make old records verifiable in a new system — no app can retrospectively certify data it didn't create, and be wary of one that claims otherwise.
Do any of these replace a solicitor? No. None of them, including ours. They keep records and run arrangements. Advice about your case is a different job.
