OurPath is a UK co-parenting app designed around family mediation. At the close of a session, you build the parenting plan in your portal and propose it to both parents. The problem you already know about #
You get two parents to agreement. It takes real work. The plan is thorough, both of them meant it, and it's a genuinely good outcome.
Then they leave. The plan becomes a PDF in an inbox. Within a few months nobody can remember whether the October half term was split or alternated, and the conversation has moved back to WhatsApp, where it goes the way WhatsApp conversations go.
You often find out because one of them is back, or because their solicitor is.
What plan injection actually looks like #
You're at the end of the session. Agreement reached, both parents still in the room, both still cooperative — the highest-trust moment either of them will experience for a long time.
- You create the family and enter both email addresses
- You walk the structured plan builder with them — the sections you already cover
- You hit Propose
- Both parents get an invite, review the plan on their phones, and accept
- Calendar populated, cost splits set, holiday rules live
Cold start to working arrangement in under ten minutes. Both parents onboarded, which solves the adoption problem that kills every other app in this category.
Your access is neutral, and visibly so #
- Read-only. You can see the record; you cannot alter it.
- Always visible to both parents. They can see you have access, what it covers, and can revoke it. No quiet access, ever.
- Both parents must accept any plan you propose. You propose; you don't impose.
- Solicitors are labelled. When a solicitor has access, both parents see which parent they act for. Your neutrality and their partiality are never confused.
Whatever plan format you use #
Cafcass's Our Child's Plan (formerly the Parenting Plan), NFM's, or your own house template. Same engine, sections relabelled to match. Families can export a document in the format you and the court expect.
When it goes wrong, it comes back to you #
Every plan has a dispute-resolution section. In OurPath it's a button.
When parents hit a problem, they raise an issue against the relevant part of the plan, optionally attach the records that matter, and OurPath sends you a structured request with the facts already assembled — not a two-page email of grievance.
That's a returning mediation client instead of a C100.
What it costs your clients #
£129.99 a year, covering both parents. Families you refer pay £103.99 — 20% off for three years, on monthly or annual billing.
If you've assessed a family as eligible for legal aid, you can give them their first year free. We don't make the eligibility decision; you already have. It converts to a standard subscription at year two.
